Upcoming Road Closures

To maintain the overall health of our infrastructure and utility system. we have to occasionally close roads to perform upgrades. maintenance and replacements. The road closures below are scheduled but on occasion. we are forced to close roads to make unscheduled repairs to our equipment.

Saturday, March 1, 2025

  • Time: 7:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
  • Location FM3009 near Tuscan Hills Drive
  • Zip Code: 78266
  • Scope of Work: CPS Energy contractors and crews will be installing new wire at FM30098
  • Traffic Control and Notifications: UCS Power will provide traffic control with maximum duration of the lane closure will be 15-minutes. Any subsequent lane closures can only happen after traffic congestion (from a prior lane closure) has cleared. There will be uniformed officers during this work.
  • Outages: No Outages
  • The Traffic Control Plan has been approved by TxDOT

  • Time: 6:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.
  • Location: S Loop 1604 East of Campbellton Rd
  • Zip Code: 78264
  • Scope of Work: CPS Energy contractors and crews will be installing new overhead primary wire crossing S Loop 1604 E of Campbellton Rd.
  • Traffic Control and Notifications: OSO Public Safety traffic control will be providing traffic control on the North and South bound side of Loop 1604 with 6 rolling traffic stops lasting up to 15 minutes, uniformed officers will be directing traffic. 
  • Outages: There will not be any outages during this procedure.
  • The Traffic Control Plan has been approved by TxDOT

Monday, March 3, 2025 - Friday, March 7, 2025

  • Time: 7:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
  • Location: TX-16
  • Zip Code: 78264
  • Scope of Work: CPS Energy contractors and crews will be transferring wire at the TX-16 crossing. 
  • Traffic Control and Notifications: Axis Power will provide traffic control with maximum duration of the lane closure will be 15-minutes. Any subsequent lane closures can only happen after traffic congestion (from a prior lane closure) has cleared. There will be uniformed officers during this work. 
  • Outages: There will not be any outages during this procedure.
  • The Traffic Control Plan has been approved by TxDOT

Service Reliability

We are undertaking Service Reliability Conversion Projects to convert our existing overhead electric lines to underground lines for improved electric service reliability. We are undertaking these projects because underground electric lines are generally less susceptible than overhead lines to damage and/or service interruptions due to storms, vehicles, trees, and animals.

These enhancements to our infrastructure are meant to significantly improve the electric service we provide in neighborhoods throughout our service area. Find project-specific information here.  

Planned Outages

Our community continues to grow. As it does, we're enhancing and adding new infrastructure as well as updating and improving current infrastructures. This helps ensure safe, reliable gas and electric service for existing and future customers.  

During infrastructure projects, you may experience temporary power outages that are necessary for our field crews to perform their work safely. We will notify you by phone at least one to two business days before any planned outage to inform you of the outage start time and approximate duration.
