On January 23, 2023, the CPS Energy Board of Trustees approved a plan for how we will power our community. This plan includes using a mix of natural gas, solar, wind, and batteries to store energy. These decisions inform our current Vision 2027 plan, the future Vision 2030 plan, and the long-term Horizon 2050 plan that outline our path to serving our community for future generations.
As we transition to our Vision 2030 plan, we will keep both the City of San Antonio’s Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP) and our community’s goals in mind. We will continue reviewing our energy mix to make sure it is the best choice for our growing community.
